Sarah Pinto is Professor and Chair, Department of Anthropology, Tufts University. She is the author of Daughters of Parvati: Women and Madness in Contemporary India, which received the Eileen Basker Memorial Prize from the Society of Medical Anthropology, and Where There is No Midwife: Birth and Loss in Rural India.
